No report. <br /> <br />E) Frontage Road Subcommittee - <br /> <br />Commissioner Fults stated that Planning and Zoning Commission Chairman <br />Zimmerman is requesting a joint meeting with EDC to discuss frontage roads. <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg stated that a Mississippi River crossing and the <br />rerouting of Cty. Rd. #83 should also be discussed. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Fults and seconded by Commissioner Vevea to request <br />that the Planning and Zoning Commission schedule a meeting date to discuss <br />frontage roads, Mississippi River crossing and rerouting of Cty. Rd. #83 <br />with the Economic Development Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Greenberg, Commissioners Fults, <br />Vevea, Kurak and Muller. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Hardin, <br />Wagner, Ippel and Gorecki. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that Merland Otto is pursuing information from MN/DOT <br />regarding the placement of monument signs. <br /> <br />F) Star City Work Program Subcommittee - <br /> <br />Ms. Norris reported that the Community Profile is complete; Labor Surveys <br />have been completed, simply tabulated and forwarded to the State for cross <br />tabulation; Business Surveys are complete and have been forwarded to the <br />State for tabulating; the draft of the Five Year Plan should be complete <br />within one week. <br /> <br />Case #2: D~¢~ssion Re~ardin_~ City Brochure: <br /> <br />Refer to Case #1.C (Publicity Subcommittee Report) for action taken. <br /> <br />Case #3: Report On Implementation Of Hwy. #10 Corridor Study; <br /> <br />Commissioner Fults stated that with respect to implementation of <br />recommendations comming out of the Hwy. #10 Study, the committee looked at <br />monument signing along Hwy. #10 and is waiting for a response from the <br />State regarding relative regulations. <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg stated that he has interviewed used auto dealers along <br />Hwy. #10 and about 60% of them are interested in forming an association. <br /> <br />Case #4: Status Of The Mississippi River Crossin~ Corridor; <br /> <br />Refer to Case #1.E (Frontage Road Subcommittee Report) for action taken. <br />Case #5: Information Items: <br /> <br />The Commission noted information items contained in the agenda. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> Economic Development Commission/August 17, 1988 <br /> <br /> Page 3 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
