Commissioner Kurak noted that the Minnesota Racing Commission is willing to <br />license a harness racing track at least 25 miles from Canterbury Downs. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding the possibility of using the Anoka County <br />Fairgrounds for harness racing. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris noted that the Economic Development Company has scheduled <br />another Business Expo for October 16 and is looking for volunteers to help <br />with the event. <br /> <br />Commissioner Fults stated that he did work at the Ramsey Booth at the Game <br />Fair; suggested that a Ramsey Booth would be more effective at a county <br />fair because Game Fair attendants are only interested in booths featuring <br />sporting items. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Muller and seconded by Commissioner Kurak to adjourn <br />the regular Economic Development Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Greenberg, Commissioners Fults, <br />Vevea, Kurak and Muller. Voting No: None.
