Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #17-12-313 <br />RESOLUTION TO HIRE A TEMPORARY ON -CALL SNOW PLOW DRIVER <br />WHEREAS, annually the City employs Temporary On -call Snow Plow Drivers <br />to provide general maintenance of public streets, parking lots and any other municipal <br />related facilities and/or equipment including snow plowing of public streets, trails, and <br />walks; and <br />WHEREAS, Temporary On -call Snow Plow Drivers are not required to hold a <br />Commercial Driver's License as they are not driving a commercial vehicle; and <br />WHEREAS, staff conducted the annual hiring process and selected a qualified <br />candidate to fill one of the remaining vacancies; and <br />WHEREAS, the candidate has passed the pre -employment screening process; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends hiring Mr. Kevin Wilkes at $13.00 per hour, <br />effective on or near December 8, 2017. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />Motion to adopt resolution #17-12-313 to do the following: <br />1) Hire Mr. Kevin Wilkes as a temporary on -call snow plow driver, at $13.00 per <br />hour, effective on or near December 8, 2017. <br />The motion for the adoption of the 'foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member, , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 12th day of December, 2017. <br />
