B. OFFICIAL CONTROLS <br /> <br />OFFICIAL <br />CONTROLS <br /> <br />In Ramsey the official controls include all local ordinances, <br />however, the most significant are: <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />Zoning Ordinance - The basic purpose of the zoning ordi- <br />nance is to establish minimum requirements and standards <br />for the utilization of land and structures within the <br />City. This involves the establishment of various zoning <br />districts, each with different allowable uses. <br /> <br />Subdivision Ordinance - Subdivision regulations establish <br />procedural and performance standards for the planning of <br />land for future development. <br /> <br />Issue <br /> <br />The following is a list of changes that will be made to the <br />City's ordinances as a result of the planning effort: <br /> Adoption <br /> Program Date <br /> <br />1) Adopt Environmental <br /> Protection Ordinance. <br /> <br />1) See Critical Area Plan and Wild <br /> Service and Recreation of River <br /> Ordinance. Ramsey has environ- <br /> mental protection ordinances <br /> which were the product of this <br /> planning process. The City has <br /> been negotiating with the DNR <br /> and EQB regarding these ordinances. <br /> <br />1. 12/So <br /> <br />Amend existing zoning <br />ordinances reflecting <br />densities and permitted <br />use standards suggested <br />in the plan <br /> <br />2) Zone, densities, and permitted <br /> ll~es: <br /> <br />a) R-1 - 2.5 acres - single <br /> f~m~ly residential <br /> <br />v/si <br /> <br />b) UR - 10,800 sq. ft. - single <br /> f~mily residential. <br /> <br />UR - 6,000 sq. ft. - per unit <br />with PUD, single f~m~ly and <br />duplex. <br /> <br />.c) U~B-N - 3,000 sq. ft/unit - <br /> multiple family. <br /> <br />d) UMB-H - 2,100 sq. ft/unit - <br /> multiple f~m~ly. <br /> <br />e) UB-C - Local Neighborhood <br /> Convenience Center. <br /> <br />f ) UB - Neighborhood Shopping <br /> Center. <br /> <br />98 <br /> <br /> <br />
