Mayor Gamec said the people down in that area are not going to have the <br />rural living any more. The trunk charge is approximately $9,000 per <br />acre. It can't be done like the streets as "per lot"o <br /> <br />Ron West said he has found out that people want to move out to Ramsey <br />and have the sewer and blacktop streets, not the rural type atmosphere. <br /> <br />Mayor Camec said this will add to the city, but it will raise the <br />taxes for the whole city. He suggested talking to the people <br />down in that area and getting their opinions. <br /> <br />Ms. Kathy Schneider said she thought the people in Ramsey deserve some <br />prior knowledge so if they wanted to get out, they could before it <br />happens. <br /> <br />Mayor Camec said when he met with the people on Highway 10, only one <br />person objected. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec asked if they really wanted to do it to the people. <br /> <br />Ron West said there has been landowners who have been just waiting <br />for the sewer to come in. <br /> <br />Kathy Schneider said she couldn't imagine that the people down there <br />would be very excited about the $12,000 assessment. <br /> <br />Art Dunn said he thought it would kick people out down there. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said the City is looking at getting an Assistant City <br />Administrator and another man in the Public Works Department. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said the City's costs increase $200,000 in two years for <br />energy. <br /> <br />Motion by Ben Deemer and seconded by Ron West to adjourn the Planning <br />and Zoning Special Meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-ChairmanPeterson, Ron West, Harry Ellis, <br />Kathy Schneider, Ben Deemer and Art Dunn.
