METROPOLITAN COUNCIL <br />300 Metro Square Building, Saint Paul, Minnesota 55101 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br />RESOLUTION GRANTING EXTENSION OF TIME FOR THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY FOR THE SUBMITTAL OF ITS COMPREHENSIVE <br />PLAN TO THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 473.869 provides that local <br /> governmental units may request extensions of time for <br /> fulfilling the requirements of Minnesota Statutes, <br /> Sections 473.175 and 473.851 through 473.866, the <br /> Metropolitan Land Planning Act. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 473.869 empowers the Metropolitan <br /> Council in its discretion to grant such requests and to <br /> attach reasonable requirements or conditions thereto; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Council has adopted a "Policy for <br /> Extending MetropOlitan Land Planning Act Submittal <br /> Deadlines"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City of Ramsey has requested an extension of time for <br /> fulfilling the requirements of the Land Planning Act in <br /> accordance with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes <br /> 473.869 and the Metropolitan Council's "Policy for <br /> Extending Metropolitan Land Planning Act Submittal <br /> Deadlines." <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> <br />THAT the Metropolitan Council finds that there are exceptional <br />circumstances as evidenced by the extension request, and an <br />undue hardship may result if the request is not granted; and <br /> <br />THAT the Metropolitan Council hereby grants the City of <br />Ramsey an extension to April 1, 1981, for fulfilling the <br />requirements of the Land Planning Act.; and <br /> <br />THAT the Council requires Ramsey to enter into a revised <br />planning assistance grant contract within 30 days of Council <br />action on this request; and <br /> <br />THAT the Council advises the city that .it can expedite the <br />external review process by requesting adjacent communities and <br />other affected bodies to review the city's plan'in less than <br />the six-month period defined in the Metropolitan Land Planning <br />Act. <br /> <br />Adopted this__day of , 1980. <br /> <br />METROPOLITAN COUNCIL <br /> <br />By. <br /> <br />Charles R.
