CASE # 3 <br /> <br />REVIEW PROPOSED POSITION ON <br />MISSISSIPPI RIVER TRAIL CORRIDOR <br />By: Dave Hartley, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />At the City Council's last regular meeting the topic of the Mississippi River Trail Corridor was <br />discussed and Council directed Staff to prepare a map which would reflect the position of the City <br />Council such that: <br /> <br />Where lands are currently developed, the width of the trail corridor would be <br />maintained within existing right-of-Ways and that a transition to a wider trail <br />corridor with more utility should be provided. <br /> <br />Enclosed is a map prepared by Staff. We have begun discussions with the Environmental Quality <br />Board (EQB), Anoka County, and the Metropolitan Council. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Confirm the City Council's position with regard to the width of the Mississippi River <br />Trail Corridor consistent with 1he map Prepared by Ramsey City Staff. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Administrator X <br />City Attorney .. <br />City Engineer <br />Community Development Director <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Public Works Superintendent <br />Other <br /> <br /> <br />
