Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #88- RESOLUTION RECEIVING AND AWARDING BID FOR SLIDE-IN UNIT WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for a slide-in unit for the City of Rr~msay Fire Department, ihe following bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to law on December 1, 1988 (see Attachment 1 for deviations from specifications): Bidder Amount of Bid Fire Safety Products, Inc. $8,980.00 General Safety Products, Inc. $14,385.00 Simon's Fire Equipment and Repair $8,455.00 AND WHEREAS, on December 14, 1988 the Fire Board recommended that the City accept the bid from Fire Safety Products, Inc. for a slide-in unit. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1 ) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Fire Safety Products, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for purchase of a slide-in unit for the City of Ramsey Fire Department according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the Ramsey City Council and on file in the office of the City Administrator. 2 ) That the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith lo all bidders the deposits made with their bids, lexcept that the deposits of the successful bidder and next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
