By: <br /> <br /> LOBBYING EFFORTS OF <br /> ANOKA COUNTY CITIES <br />Dave Hartley, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The Cities of Blaine, Coon Rapids, Anoka, and Anoka County are planning to hire <br />the firm of Larkin, Hoffman, Daly & Lindgren to lobby the Legislature <br />(specifically the Anoka County delegation) for changes in the local government <br />aid formula, transportation funding, and no change in the tax increment <br />financing laws. Our community is being asked to join in this effort (cost <br />estimated at $4,300). <br /> <br />Further, we are being offered the opportunity to submit our agenda of items of <br />special concern to the City of Ramsey. I suggest that the Council approve <br />funding for this effort and offer the following issues for the lobbyists to <br />put sue: <br /> <br />1) U. S.
