INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />Larkin, Hoffman, Daly & Lindgren, Ltd. is pleased to present <br />this proposal for legislative and services. <br /> <br />Larkin, Hoffman, Daly & Lindgren proposes to bring several key <br />components of the Firm together to form a unique team to serve <br />the needs of the Cities. <br /> <br />I. THE FIRM <br /> <br />General Information <br /> <br />Larkin, Hoffman, Daly & Lindgren, Ltd. ("LHD&L" or the <br />"Firm") is a professional corporation with over 80 lawyers <br />and over 150 employees. The Firm engages in the general <br />practice of law throughout the Midwest with individual <br />lawyers concentrating in particular fields of law. <br /> <br />LHD&L is organized into thirteen departments, each with <br />its own specialty. Members of LHD&L have extensive <br />experience and expertise in local, regional, and state <br />governmental affairs; education; taxation; health care; <br />public finance including bond counsel; environmental, real <br />estate, housing redevelopment and land development; civil <br />litigation; federal and state securities laws; business <br />and corporate law; banking and underwriting; estate <br />planning; and family law, labor law, and criminal law. <br />LHD&L has offices in Bloomington, Minneapolis, and Coon <br />Rapids. The Firm's brochure is included with this <br />proposal, it contains detailed information concerning the <br />Firm and its attorneys. <br /> <br />LHD&L encourages its members to be actively involved in <br />civic affairs. As a result, members hold, or have held, <br />the following positions in state and national government: <br />Governor and U.S. Senator, State of Minnesota; United <br />States Attorney for the Distric~ of Minnesota; Minnesota <br />District Court Judge; state Representatives and State <br />Senators; Commissioner of Securities, Minnesota Department <br />of Commerce; Chairman, Minnesota Environmental Quality <br />Board; Member, Voss Local Government Finance Task Force; <br />Member, Minnesota Small Business Finance Agency; Member, <br />Minnesota Housing Finance Agency Board; General Counsel, <br />university of Minnesota Hospital; Special Assistant <br />Attorneys General. <br /> <br />Firm members have also been involved in local government <br />service, in these positions: Chairman, Me~roDo!itan <br />Council; Chief Staff Counsel, Metropolitan Council; <br />~ember, ~etropolitan Council and Chairman, Me5 Council <br />Physical Developmenn Commi~nee; Member, Water Quality <br /> <br /> <br />
