¥o]unteer Fire Department <br /> <br />Turn-Out Gear Bid Results <br /> <br />by: Judy Thul - Personnel Coordinator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The bid opening for Turn-Out Gear equipment was conducted on Tuesday, <br />November 1. Recap of bid results is attached. <br /> <br />The lowest total bid was received from Clareys Safety Equipment located <br />in Rochester, Mn. <br /> <br />,At this time, no choppers on the market meet NFPA standards, and thus do <br />not meet our specifications. Since the department will not be needing choppers <br />until the winter of 89'-90', purchasing this item at a later date is not a <br />problem. <br /> <br />Members of the Fire Deparmtent have reviewed the bid results, and Charles <br />Williams of the Turn-Out Gear Committee has followed up on all questions <br />concerning bids submitted. <br /> <br />The Fire Board met on Wednesday, November 9, for the purpose of reviewing <br />bids received. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />The Fire Board recommends that the total bid for Turn-Out Gear be awarded <br />to: <br /> <br />Clareys Safety Equipment, Inc. <br />Northgate Shopping Center <br />Rochester, Mno 55901 <br /> <br /> <br />
