Counc ilmember <br />adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 488- <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka County is responsible for the allocation and timely <br />expenditure of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. <br />Department of Housing and Urban Development; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey receives an allocation of CDBG funds from <br />Anoka County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka County has requested communities receiving allocations <br />of CDBG funds to contractually obligate said funds before April 1, 1989; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, eligible activities for C DBG funds include parks <br />development. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TME CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the City of Ramsey redesignate its CDBG allocation of <br />$129,555.42 for 1985, 1986, 1987, and 1988 to be used for the expansion of <br />River's Bend Park to include a passive use area readily accessible to seniors <br />and the handicapped. <br /> <br /> 2) That a copy of this resolution and preliminary project <br />application request form be forwarded to the Anoka County Administrator. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey <br />City Council this the 15th day of November, 1988. <br /> <br /> <br />
