5 Minutes CASE <br /> <br />INCINERATION BURNING MORATORIUM ORDINANCE <br /> <br />By: William K. Goodrich, city Attorney <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br /> <br />As directed at your meeting on October 4, 1988, enclosed is a <br />proposed Moratorium Ordinance, the purpose of which is to place a <br />six (6) month moratorium on the permitting of, and reviewing of <br />burning by incinerator within the City, pending development by <br />the city of comprehensive~regulations of solid waste, hazardous <br />waste and hospital waste on this subject. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Adopt the following Motion: <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />Motion to: <br /> <br />Refer the proposed moratorium ordinance on incinerator <br />burning to the Planning Commission requesting that it <br />conduct a public hearing on the said Ordinance, and <br />forward its recommended Findings to the Council for its <br />consideration. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Administrator X <br />Attorney X <br />Engineer X <br />Community Devel- <br />ment Director X <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance officer <br />Public Works Superintendent <br />Other <br /> <br /> <br />
