Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kapler replied that in a roundabout way, yes. The ordinance <br />states that the sales have to occur in the permitted part of the building. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if they could sell the fireworks in the parking lot. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson inquired if it would be possible for a business to receive more than <br />one license on a site. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kapler replied that he could check with Community <br />Development on restriction of sale. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that the question is do they want to allow tent sales or not. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman replied that initially restricting tent sales might not be a bad idea. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen felt that initially they should steer the ordinance away from outside <br />tent sales in general, but not to say that they might not open it up later. <br /> <br />Consensus was to restrict tent sales and allow for 50 pounds in a non-sprinkled building. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to introduce <br />amending to Chapter 7 of the City Code, adding section 7.86 entitled "Sale of Fire Works", <br />permitting 0 to 200 pounds in sprinkled buildings, 0 to 50 pounds in non-sprinkled buildings, and <br />restricting sales to the inside of the permitted licensed vendor. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Kurak, Hendriksen, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman.
