Mr. Baxley stated there has been a lot of'work by Staff to push for that, and he is pleased to hear <br />those comments. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brauer asked if a connection to the ramp had been considered, given the <br />Minnesota winters. <br /> <br />Mr. Baxley advised that it had been discussed, however the premise of the area is pedestrian <br />based, and they were afraid it may set the wrong tone. He added they had provided for that <br />option in the future. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Brauer to recommend to the City <br />Council approval of the preliminary plan for the Ramsey Municipal Center contingent upon <br />compliance with City Staff Review Letter dated November 24, 2004 and the platting of the <br />Subject Property. <br /> <br />Mr. Baxley noted there is an open house scheduled for December 9th for further information and <br />review of the drawings. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: Commissioners Watson. <br /> <br />Case #6 <br /> <br />Consider Ordinance to Amend Section 9.11 (Performance Standards) of the <br />City Code <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Associate Planner Wald advised that over the last year, the City has experienced an increase in <br />the number of temporary sales offices and construction offices being located in new subdivisions. <br />She stated that currently there are no performance standards in City Code for these types of <br />structures. She indicated that based on this increase in activity, Staff is bringing forward <br />proposed language to establish standards for model homes, temporary sales offices, and <br />construction trailers/field offices. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Wald stated that the proposed 'code amendment would establish minimum <br />standards fbr model homes, temporary sales offices, and construction trailers/field offices, <br />including location within the project site, length of time permitted on the site, and minimum <br />parking requirements.
