CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, July 9, 2002, at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Member Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Police Chief David Gustafson <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Police Sergeant Jim Way <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. and led the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec commented on the upcoming primary election in September and stated there is a <br />need for election judges. He encouraged anyone interested to call City Hall. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec announced the Business Appreciation Day Golf Tournament, which will be held <br />on August 20, 2002 at the Links Golf Course, and the Happy Days Celebration, with a teen dance <br />on September 13, 2002, and the general day with a car show on September 14, 2002. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec noted the attendance of Chandra Kreyer regarding the Safety Camp and invited <br />her to address the Council. <br /> <br />Chandra Kreyer officially invited all to attend the first Kids Safety Camp, which will be held this <br />year. She noted the bike rodeo is no longer held and this will somewhat resurrect that function. <br />She stated the dates are Tuesday and Wednesday, July 16 and 17, 2002.
