language the City currently has. Calthorpe should also have an initial plan at the next meeting. <br />Mr. Elvig noted that Mr. Kveton recently resigned from the Task Force. The Task Force is <br />seeking a replacement and will be asking for a letter of interest for them to review and then the <br />Task Force will submit a candidate for Council approval. <br /> <br />Councihnember Kurak stated that she would be willing to videotape the presentations that will <br />be made at the next Town Center Task Force meeting and then turn them over to QCTV to be <br />played, noting that she would not do the taping without the permission of the City Council. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen recommended that QCTV do the taping for them. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak replied that they could request that QCTV tape the meeting, but the <br />producers are limited to 32 hours per week so she did not know that a producer would be <br />available. She stated that she was willing to donate her time if QCTV was not available. <br /> <br />Mr. Elvig stated that he would be delighted to have it taped. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak inquired if staff is unable to have a producer from QCTV tape the <br />meeting would the Council be comfortable with her taping the meeting and then turning it over <br />to QCTV. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he did not have a problem with that. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson noted that the meeting could be held in the senior area at <br />City Hall so that there would be more room. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if the Fire Station would be available from 4:30 p.m. to <br />6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kapler replied that the Fire Station is used every Thursday <br />from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for firefighter training, but he could be flexible. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman stated that they should hold the meeting at the Fire Station if they <br />can be done by 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak noted that they would still need an associate producer if the meeting were <br />held at the Fire Station. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson stated that she can understand having to utilize the Fire Station in a <br />few circumstances when there is training planned, but the meetings have been working fine at <br />City Hall up until this point and she did not see a reason to change things. <br /> <br />City Council/August 19, 2002 <br /> Page 3 of 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
