Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #18-038 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR IP#18-08, <br />TROTT BROOK BOARDWALK <br />WHEREAS, access to parks, natural resources, open space and recreation areas, are <br />essential to the quality of life, health and welfare of city of Ramsey's residents; and <br />WHEREAS, the Trott Brook Boardwalk has been identified as a priority project within <br />the City of Ramsey's Captial Improvement Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the boardwalk when complete will provide for the completion of a significant <br />'gap' in the Greenway system rerferred to as The Circle of Ramsey; and <br />WHEREAS, on January 9th, 2018, the City Council accepted final plans and specifications <br />and authorized advertisements for bids for said improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, bids were received, opened, and tabulated on February 5, 2018, and the <br />following bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids; and <br />CONTRACTOR <br />MN Boardwalk LLC <br />Solutions 101 LLC <br />Pember Companies <br />Peterson Companies <br />CS McCrossan Construction Inc. <br />Janke General Contractors <br />Rosti Construction <br />Blackstone Contractors <br />Signature Bridge <br />JTS Construction <br />Sunram Construction Inc. <br />TOTAL <br />BID <br />$162,000.00 <br />$171,000.00 <br />$177,000.00 <br />$181,560.00 <br />$206,895.00 <br />$212,250.00 <br />$219,750.00 <br />$235,125.00 <br />$242,820.00 <br />$270,000.00 <br />$294,000.00 <br />Engineer' s Estimate $195,000-$225,000 <br />WHEREAS, the bid of MN Boardwalk LLC, in the amount of $162,000 for the <br />construction of said improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and <br />advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be and hereby is <br />accepted. <br />RESOLUTION #18-038 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
