City of Ramsey 2040 Comprehensive Plan <br />Update <br />Economic Development Plan <br />Background on this Document <br />This document is a draft of the narrative to be used in the 2040 Comprehensive Plan Update. This is not a <br />final version or actual layout. This document will be reviewed and revised multiple times. The City will try to <br />add additional maps and figures to better tell the story of this vision. <br />Ramsey's Long Range Imperatives <br />Four key themes have emerged as part of this Comprehensive Plan Update that transcend each section our <br />Vision. Each Initiative, Tactic, and Policy should relate to one of these four Imperatives. <br />1. Rural Character and Urban Growth Balance <br />2. An Active Community (Parks, Recreation, and Open Space <br />3. A Connected Community (Transportation) <br />4. A Positive Learning Environment <br />Economic Development Initiatives <br />1. Maintain and Expand our Employment Base <br />2. Increase and Construct Retail Options for Residents and Businesses <br />3. Improve Highway 10 <br />4.
