Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #02-11-296 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDING OF FACT #0638 RELATING TO A REQUEST <br />FROM PAMELA BOSHEA FOR A HOME OCCUPATION PERMIT TO ESTABLISH <br />AN IN HOME HAIR SALON ON THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 6210 179TM LANE <br />NW. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from Pamela Boshea for a <br />home occupation permit to operate a one-chair hair salon within the dwelling on the property <br />generally known as 6210 179th Lane NW and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 1, Block 5, Rodeo Hills Estates, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property") <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br /> <br />That on October 11, 2002, Pamela Boshea, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", <br />properly applied for a home occupation permit to establish and operate a hair salon in her <br />home. <br /> <br />That the Applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public <br />hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the City Code on November 7, 2000, and that said <br />public hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are <br />hereby incorporated as a part of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />3. That the Subject Property is zoned R-1 Single Family Residential. <br /> <br />4. That the Subject Property is approximately 1.25 acres in size. <br /> <br />5. That hair salons are not a permitted use in the R-1 Single Family Residential District. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That the Applicant has provided documentation to support that the home occupation will <br />be conducted within the private dwelling on the property, that the area set aside for the <br />home occupation does not exceed 20% of the total floor area of the private dwelling, and <br />the operation will not include any employment of persons not residing in the private <br />dwelling in the performance of the home occupation. <br /> <br />7. That the Applicant will reside at the location of the proposed home occupation. <br /> <br /> <br />
