Case #6: Report from the Finance Committee The Finance Committee met on December 10, 2002, and discussed the following cases: 1) Review and Adopt 2003 Tax Levy and General Fund Budget The Finance Committee recommended that the City Council adopt the resolution adopting the 2002, payable 2003 Municipal Tax Levy and adopt the resolution adopting the 2003 City of Ramsey General Fund Operating Budget. Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to adopt Resolution #02-12- 314 adopting the 2002, payable 2003 Municipal Tax Levy. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, Kurak, and Zimmerman. Voting No: Councilmembers Hendriksen. Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to adopt Resolution #02-12- 315 adopting the 2003 City of Ramsey General Fund Operating Budget. Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, Kurak, and Zimmerman. Voting No: Councilmember Hendriksen. 2) Review and Adopt 2003 HRA Levy The Finance Committee recommended that the adopting the 2002 payable 2003 HRA Tax Levy. City Council adopt the resolution Motion by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to adopt Resolution #02-12-316 adopting the 2002, Payable 2003 HRA Tax Levy. Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, and Kurak. No: Councilmembers Hendriksen, and Zimmerman. Voting 3) Reimbursement and Certificate Sale Pertaining to Capital Equipment Certificates of Indebtedness The Finance Committee recommended that the City Council adopt the resolution confirming the sale of Capital Certificates of Indebtedness to Community First Bank. Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to adopt Resolution #02- 12-317 confirming the sale of Capital Certificates of Indebtedness to Community First Bank. Motion carded.
