Presentation: Letter of Commendation-Jerry Streich, Fire Inspector/Firefighter

Mayor Gamec recognized Fire Inspector/Firefighter Jerry Streich for his work on successfully
receiving a FEMA grant in the amount of $151,098 to assist the City in purchasing new
equipment.

Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kapler stated that this is the second consecutive year the
City has received a FEMA grant for around $220,000, thanks.to Mr. Streich's efforts.

CITIZEN INPUT

Winslow Holasek, 1159 Andover Boulevard, Andover, stated that he wanted to address his
request he made during citizen input at the October 22, 2002 City Council meeting, pertaining to
information supplied to the City Council by the City Administrator on responses he received
from property owners to his letter of August 7, 2001. City Administrator Jim Norman's letter of
November 21, 2002, to him (Holasek) does not answer the above question. It only answered his
question if the City Council had received copies of his August 7, 2001 letter. However, his
answer to this question was redundant, because the Mayor had already answered this question
directly to him at the October 22, 2002 City Council meeting. Mr. Norman did not acknowledge
the second question that I had asked the Mayor and City Council regarding what information
each had received from him as to what response he got from each of the land owners he sent his
August 7, 2001 letter to. Therefore, he respectfully asked the Mayor and each City Council
member to please supply him in writing, the information he asked for at the October 22, 2002
City Council meeting, as to what Mr. Norman told each one of the Councilmembers regarding
the response he got from each of the property owners to his August 7, 2001 letter to them.

Mayor Gamec replied that they will try and get a response together.

Ed Hamilton; 6615 Highway #10, stated that-he was present for the work session and his wife
called him four times to tell him that the coverage on television was garbled,

City Administrator Norman noted that the problem had been fixed.

Councilmember Kurak stated that the studio QCTV has built will be up and running very soon,
which will provide for better coverage of the meetings.

APPROVE AGENDA

Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if the information pertaining to the Met Council grant was
available.

City Council/November 26, 2002
