Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if the main street will be a public street. <br /> <br /> Mr. McGee replied yes. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if the street going to the west was going to be private. <br /> <br /> Mr. McGee replied that that street would be private as well. <br /> <br /> Principal City Engineer Olson noted that the County is requiring a left turn lane and a right mm <br /> lane into the property; one other suggestion would be an acceleration lane. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Kurak stated that they previously discussed placing money into escrow to pay <br /> for the future extension of the public roads within the property. She inquired if that had been <br /> included in the development agreement. <br /> <br /> Principal Planner Trudgeon replied that that will be addressed as part of final plat approval when <br /> the development agreement is approved. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Kurak stated that the letter the Council received from Hakanson Anderson <br /> regarding the EAW was very informative. She requested that the letter be sent to the <br /> homeowners who signed the petition. <br /> <br /> Principal Planner Trudgeon replied that staff would send out those letters. <br /> <br /> Mr. McGee agreed that a copy of the letter should be sent to everyone who signed the petition. <br /> Councilmember Kurak inquired if the developer was willing to send out a copy of the letter. <br /> <br /> Mr. McGee replied yes. He noted that they are proposing to construct a total of 230 units. He <br /> also noted that with acquiring Mr. Bridwell's property they will be eliminating the driveway <br /> along Alpine Drive. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Kurak inquired if Mr. McGee anticipated having a signed agreement with Mr. <br /> Bridwell by final plat. <br /> <br /> Mr. McGee replied yes. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Hendriksen requested that staff identify the existing homes. He stated that if <br />· there was ever a poster child for some relief to existing homeowners it is a case like this where <br /> the homeowners are being completely surrounded by a higher use and the Council has done that <br /> to them.
