Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to approve the site <br />plan of Villas of Meadow Point contingent upon compliance with City staff review letter dated <br />September 26, 2002, revised October 18, 2002, the developer entering into a development <br />agreement with the City, and the developer receiving preliminary plat approval for the Villas of <br />Meadow Point. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Kurak, and Anderson. <br />Voting No: Councilmember Hendriksen. Absent: Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />Case #12: Report from Public Works Committee <br /> <br />The Public Works Committee met on October 15, 2002 and discussed the following five cases: <br /> <br />1) Consider Trail Extension along T.H. #47 from the Southern Boundary of Apple <br /> Ridge to the North Boundary of River Pines 5th Addition <br /> The Public Works Committee directed staff to investigate the costs for subdividing the <br /> land, take the steps necessary to facilitate the outlot land transfer from the current owner <br /> to the City, and bring the item back to the City Council at a future date. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Request by Residents to Install Stop Signs at 156th Lane NW/Yakima Street NW <br />The Public Works Committee recommended that the City Council install stop signs on <br />the two Yakima Street NW legs of the intersection of 156th Lane NW/Yakima Street NW. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Update on T.H. #47 Speed Study <br /> <br />Staff presented the Public Works Committee from the data of the T.H. #47 speed study <br />conducted by MnDOT. Discussion ensued and staff was directed to investigate the cost <br />to remove a hump that is located south of the intersection of 167th Avenue NW and T.H. <br />#47. The information will be brought to a future Public Works Committee meeting. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />Design of "Future Thru Streets" Signs <br />The Public Works Committee recommended that staff stay with the current design of red <br />lettering on white background. <br /> <br />5) <br /> <br />Consider Moratorium on Development for Highway #10 Corridor' <br />Handled as Case# A. <br /> <br />City Council/October 22, 2002 <br /> Page 35 of 37 <br /> <br /> <br />
