If known, provide the name of specific resources that may be
impacted. Identify what the greatest risks to the resource are and how the risks are being
assessed. Identify any resource protection thresholds —formal or informal — that have been
established to identify when actions should be taken to mitigate impacts. Provide information
about the potential mitigation actions that may be taken, if a resource protection threshold is
crossed. Add additional rows to the table as needed. See glossary at the end of the template for
definitions.
Some of this baseline data should have been in your earlier water supply plans or county
comprehensive water plans. When filling out this table, think of what are the water supply
risks, identify the resources, determine the threshold and then determine what your
community will do to mitigate the impacts.
Your DNR area hydrologist is available to assist with this table.
For communities in the seven -county Twin Cities metropolitan area, the Master Water Supply
Plan Appendix 1 (Water Supply Profiles, provides information about potential water supply
issues and natural resource impacts for your community.
Table 10.
