Councilmember Elvig expressed concern with the density around the golf course, which was/is <br />opposed by his constituents. He stated the developer had said the land was purchased at a rate <br />where single-family homes would work. He noted there is a great opportunity for a lot of <br />density on the other side of the road. <br /> <br />Counci lmember Cook commented some higher density housing is needed around the golf course <br />to support a retail node. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig noted there seemed to be solid support for something like senior duplex <br />housing in this area. <br /> <br />The consensus of the Council was to schedule a meeting to further discuss the Comprehensive <br />Plan Amendment. <br /> <br />Councihnember Olson requested copies of the maps that were presented during the discussion <br />tonight. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman indicated the Public Works meeting has a full agenda next week.
