Absent: Mayor Gamec and Councilmember <br />Strommen. <br /> <br />Case #16: Review Alternate Street Light Fixture for Ramsey Town Center <br /> <br />· Assistant Public Works Director Olson indicated the master developer has asked that this item <br /> be tabled. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to table the review of <br />alternate street light fixture for Ramsey Town Center. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Elvig stated he' appreciates that the master developer <br />.wants this tabled, but the finger has been pointed at the City a lot for stalling, and he wants to <br />be sure it is understood the City is accommodating the master developer in this situation. <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson explained last Wednesday there was a construction <br />meeting and there was discussion of finding an alternate fixture that is less costly. This was <br />turned around as quickly as possible and brought to the Council and. it was determined today <br />that there' are some concerns related to how this fixture would affect the streetscape. This will <br />be brought back after further conversations with the developer, Cormexus, and the City. Mayor <br />Pro Tem Zimmerman commented this should be a major point of review for the Architectural <br />Review Committee. Councilmember Elvig stated he is glad to see this tabled if there is still <br />discussion due to its importance. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Pro Tem Zimmerman, Councilmembers Cook, Elvig, <br />Kurak, and Pearson. Voting No: None.' Absent: MaYor Gamec and councilmember <br />Strommen. <br /> <br />Case #17: Public Works Temporary Office Structure <br /> <br />Moved up in the agenda as Case No. 3/5 - Report from the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />1) Compost Site <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Zimmerman noted John Zababa has requested that the City work towards a <br />compost area for leaves and branches in the future. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook commented the Council had discussed setting up a tree share situation. <br />The City might be able to set up a compost and tree share site. <br /> <br />John Enstrom stated he has offered the county to provide that service, as he has the necessary <br />equipment for this. <br /> <br />City Council/December 14, 2004 <br /> · Page 32 of 33 <br /> <br /> <br />
