Ramsey Municipal Parking Facility - Site P tan <br />January 28, 2005 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br /> <br />Staff is having continuing discussion regarding the necessky of certain materials on' the north and west <br />face. In the case of the north, a retail/commercial building will eventually be located in front of the <br />parking structure. Therefore, any quality materials or design will not be visible from Sunwood Drive. <br />On the west faTade, future expansion will require the faTade to be removed and replaced with a new <br />one on the expanded building. Staff would like to have the facade be of the same quality as the rest of <br />the building, but budget concerns on the cost of the structure may eventuat-ly make that expense <br />difficult. <br /> <br />Lighting: The plan has provided information regarding the proposed light fixtures. Preliminary review <br />of the information by Staff indicates that the fixtures are acceptable. Staff will continue to work with <br />the design of the lighting for the structure, with special attention given to the lighting on the top floor. <br /> <br />Drainage and Grading: . Staff has reviewed the preliminary drainage and grading plans and has no <br />comments at this time. Further review of the plan will occur at time of final site plan submittal. <br /> <br />Access: The parking structure ,,viii have two accesses. From Sunwood Drive, drivers wilt only be able <br />to enter. No exit from the structure will be allowed at this access. The primary access will come from <br />Civic Center Drive and will allow for vehicles to both enter and exit. City Staff has reviewed these <br />accesses and find them acceptable. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission wilt be meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 3, 2005 at Ramsey Fire <br />Station, 15050 Armstrong Blvd., to review the proposed site plan. You or your representative may <br />want to be present to answer any questions that may arise.
