Memo <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />January 27, 2005 ~ <br /> <br />Ramsey Planning CommisSion <br /> <br />Community Development Staff <br /> <br />S taft Update <br /> <br />CASE #: ~ <br /> <br />Rural Developing Ordinance: <br /> <br />The City Council discussed the Rural DeVeloping ordinance at their January 19t" work session. <br />Staff was directed to bring the draft ordinance back to the Planning Commission for additional <br />input, bet'ore the Council introduces the Ordinance .at their February 8th meeting. Staff would like <br />to have a discussion of' the ordinance at the end of the Planning Commission meeting, in order to <br />bring the Commission's comments to the City Council on February 8th. A copy of the draft <br />ordinance is attached. <br /> <br />Past Planning Commission Cases: <br /> <br />In the month of January, the City Council considered the' following items: <br /> <br /> · Granted final site plan approval to the Pond Building in the Town Center (adjacent to <br /> Coburn's). <br /> <br /> · Adopted an ordinance to amend Section 9.11 (Performance Standards) of City Code <br /> establishing performance standards for sales trailers and construction offices. <br /> <br />Reviewed the sketch plans for Shade Tree Cottages and Rum River Meadows and <br />provided direction to Staff and. the DevelOpers on needed revisions. Staff expects both <br />projects to proceed to the preliminary plat stage. <br /> <br />· Approved the request for an Interim Use Permit to allow for a temporary office structure <br /> at the Public Works facility. <br /> <br />· Authorized staff to proceed with planning for the Municipal Center project in the Town <br /> Cemer. <br /> <br />· AuIhorized staff to begin the master planning process for the area surrounding the Town <br /> Center. <br /> <br />75 <br /> <br /> <br />
