Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #18-110 <br />RESOLUTION HIRING SEASONAL PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKERS <br />AND TEMPORARY INTERNS <br />WHEREAS, annually the City employs Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Workers to <br />perform work in the Parks, Streets, and Utilities Divisions of Public Works and Interns to work in <br />Administrative Services, Community Development, Engineering, and Park and Recreation; and <br />WHEREAS, staff selected one qualified Public Works Seasonal Worker and three <br />qualified interns; and <br />WHEREAS, all candidates have passed the pre -employment screenings; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommends hiring the 2018 Public Works Seasonal Worker and <br />temporary employees. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #18-110 to hire the following employees on or near the dates <br />listed below: <br />Entry level seasonal employees: Gunnar Ledin, effective June 4, 2018 at $11.50 per hour; <br />and <br />Temporary Interns: Parks & Recreation Interns, Cecilia Schmidt, effective, May 30, 2018 <br />at $13.00 per hour; Kiana Packer, effective, June 7, 2018 at $13.00 per hour; and Fall <br />Parks & Recreation Intern, Mitchell Koester, effective, August 27, 2018 at $13.00 per <br />hour. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />
