Consent # <br /> <br />Authorization to RequeSt Proposals for Formal Appraisal <br />of Park & Ride Facility Property <br /> By: James E. NOrman, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City has received a grant from the State of Minnesota for construction of a park and ride <br />facility. The State portion of the grant is for $420,000, which the City will provide a 20 percent <br />match, either in cash or in-kind, toward the Federal fund. The funding will be used for <br />acquisition of the real property for a park and ride facility in the Town Center project. In order <br />to use thc grant funds for the property acquisition, the City must submit formal appraisals for the <br />subject property. Appraisers must be on a State-approved list of appraisers. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff is recommending that the City seek proposals from State-approved firms to perform an <br />appraisal of the subject park and ride facility property. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to attthorize staff and consultants to request proposals from State-approved fim~s to <br />perform att] appraisal of the subject park and ride facility property. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />City Engineer <br /> <br />CC: 02/08/05 <br /> <br /> <br />
