PC CASE <br /> <br />CONSIDER AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE <br />A COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFICER <br /> <br />By: Heidi Nelson, Assistant City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As part of the 2005 budget a new community service officer position was created. At there <br />regular meeting of December 14, 2004 council authorized staff to begin the recruitment <br />process for the community service officer position. An internal recruitment process was <br />conducted. Six applications were received and six were interviewed. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff is recommending that the Personnel Committee grant authorization to hire Daniel <br />Godlewski as community service officer fi.om the internal recruitment process which <br />concluded on January 25, 2005. Upon Council approval, Mr. Daniel Godlewski will be hired <br />at an hourly wage not to exceed $14.85 and he would begin employment on or after February <br />9, 2005. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Motion recommending that staff be:granted authorization to hire Daniel Godlewski to the <br />position of community service officer at an hourly wage not to exceed $14.85. Mr. Daniel <br />Godlewski will begin employment on or after February 9, 2005. This appointment will be <br />contingent upon successful completion of reference checks, and passing a pre-employment <br />physical and drug screen.
