MEMO <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />February t6, 2005 <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Economic Development Authority (EDA) <br />Megan Wald and Scan sulliVan <br /> <br />RE: S taft Update <br /> <br />Case # 6 <br /> <br />Town Center: Nothing new to report at this time. <br /> <br />New Business Prospects: <br /> <br />The accounting firm from Andover has decided to construct a 2 Story office building on the <br />Martin site.' Sharp and Associates submitted their site plan application for review by the <br />Planning Commission at their February meeting. <br /> <br />Staff met with a rigging comPany and thi~y are interested in developing in Ramsey. We are <br />currently discussing the acceptable locations for this business and trying to formulate a pan that <br />could allow for maximum utilization of the chosen site. <br /> <br />New Developments (residential and commercial): <br /> <br />The City received several applications for the month of February. The Planning Commission will <br />be reviewing the following application requests at their February 3, 2005 meeting: <br /> <br />Conditional Use Permit to exceed sign size restrictions; Case of Leroy Signs - <br />this CUP request :is to exoeed sign restrictions for the NAU building located <br />within Town Center. Recommended approval <br /> <br />Request for Site Plan Review: Case of Bertolas & Pekula - the site plan is <br />proposing to construct a 12~528 square foot 2-story office building on the Martin <br />property. Recommended approval <br /> <br />Request for Site plan Review: Case of Village Bank - the site p2an is proposing <br />to construct a 6,000 square foot Permanent banking facility on their property <br />located at 7125 Riverdale Drive. Recommended approval <br /> <br />Request for Sketch Plan Review: Case of Pulte Homes -Pulte homes requested to <br />be tabled at the February 3, 2005 Planning Commission meeting. Pulte's sketch <br />plan is proposing to develop over: 1,000 housing units on 190 acres. However, the <br />City recently initiated a master planning study for the area west ofT own Center, <br />~vhich includes the Pulte property, Pulte stated their desire to ~vork in cooperation <br />with the City through the Master Planning process.
