Request for Sketch Plan Approval of Ramsey Town Center 7th Addition: the <br />sketch plan is prOpOsing to ~¢Velop 152 townhomes on 12. 6 acres. Is proceeding <br />to the City Council'for direction , <br /> <br />Request for Sketch Plan Approval of Ramsey Town Center 8th Addition: the <br />sketch plan is propOsing to deuelop 76 townhomes and 113 single family lots on <br />46 acres. Is proceeding 'to the City Council for direction <br /> <br />Request for Preliminary Site Plan Review for Ramsey Municipal Parking Facility: <br />the City is in the process of initiating the design of a parking structure to be <br />located within Town Center. The Purpose of the parking structure will be to serve <br />the parking needs for the 'Town 'Center core, the adjacent Ramsey Municipal <br />Center, and present and futare transit services. The structure would be completed <br />in two phases: ]st phase would include 630 parking stalls and the 2naphase would <br />include 210 parking stalls. Recommended approval <br /> <br />Business Grand Openings:. None to report. <br /> <br />Marketing Initiatives: The EDA may want to discuss appropriate means of using the MN <br />Report booklets the City has on hand. <br /> <br />Business Communication Initiatives: The BUsiness Connection newsletter will need to be <br />distributed to the business community by the week of February 14th. <br /> <br />EDA Pro,iects: <br /> <br />Douglas and Gary I]anson (Bakestar Property): Nothing to report. <br /> <br />EDA Redevelopment Signs: The Signs are comPlete and are placed on the chosen property sites. <br />The sites are as fbllows: Spohn rental site (County 116), Former Cox Property (Sunfish Lk Blvd <br />next to Life Fitness), Bakestar and the Martin property (County 116 & Azurite St.) <br /> <br />B & A Cylinder: Staff met with B & A Cylinder on January 12, 2005. Negotiations have come <br />to an impasse due to the asking price of the property in upwards of One Million dollars. The <br />importance of acquiring this property can not be minimized due to its proximity to Town Center. <br /> <br />Miscellaneous: <br /> <br />Debee Property: Staff is in contact with:the owner of this parcel and has begun the formal <br />process required by CDBG for acquisitiOn.: A:price has been agreed upon by both arties but we <br />are obtaining an appraisal to validate the purchase price. <br /> <br />CDBG related: The City was awarded $247,908.81 to be spent on acquisition and Clean-up of <br />the Debee Property and clean-up of the St. Paul Terminals property. (See attached letter from <br />Anoka County) It is important to note thatlWe have applied for additional funds to helP with the <br />acquisition of the Saint Paul Terminals Property_. <br /> <br />Amoco Property: Staff is in contact with the agent for the Old Amoco on Highway 47. Staffhas <br />sent a formal letter of intent to Amoco and the agent has acknowledged receipt. Amoco will now <br />provide the City with a Purchase Agreement that either accepts or rejects the sales price. <br /> <br />33 <br /> <br /> <br />
