CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING (CANVASSING) <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> The Ramsey City Council conducted a Canvassing Board Meeting to canvass the results of the <br /> General Election, on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 <br /> Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> Members Present: Acting Mayor John LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Jill Johns <br /> Councilmember Mark Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Chris Riley <br /> Councilmember Melody Shryock <br /> Also Present: City Administrator Kurtis G. Ulrich <br /> City Clerk Jo Thieling <br /> Administrative Services Manager Colleen Lasher <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Acting Mayor LeTourneau called the City Council Canvassing Board to order at 5:31 p.m. <br /> 2. CITIZEN INPUT <br /> There was none. <br /> 3. APPROVE AGENDA <br /> Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> 4. COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> 4.01: Declare the Results of the November 6,2018 General Election <br /> City Clerk Thieling explained the purpose of this evening's Canvassing Board meeting is to accept <br /> and declare the results of the City's General Election which included the seats of Mayor (Special <br /> Election to fill a vacancy), Councilmember At-Large, Councilmember Ward 1, Councilmember <br /> Ward 3, and Councilmember Ward 4 (Special Election to fill a vacancy). She noted the results as <br /> follows: 15,890 registered voters as of 7:00 a.m. Election Day and 907 new persons registered <br /> either during the absentee balloting period or on Election Day. There were 2,428 accepted <br /> absentee ballots. Ms. Thieling reported that a total of 11,764 Ramsey residents voted in the <br /> General Election. <br /> The City Council proceeded to canvass the City election returns from all City precincts, reporting <br /> ballots cast as follows: <br /> Canvassing Board Meeting/November 13, 2018 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
