Council Member introdUced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: REsOLUTIoN # CONSIDER RECLASSIFICATIONiOF? FIRE INSPECTOR POSITION AND PAY SCALE iFOR FIRE ~MARSHAL POSITION WHEREAS, staff diSCussed with c°uncil during the 2005 budget process the need to evaluate several job d~scriPtioris for City positions and included funds in the 2005 budget for potentiai pay scale adjustmentS; and WHEREAS, staff prev]iouSly c°mpleted the review of all job descriptions with the exception of the Fire Marshal position; and WHEREAS, staff has since completed the study of the Fire Marshal position; and WHEREASi staff has evaluated thej0b description for points associated with pay equity, comparable pay seale !in the stanton Group Six Cities Report, and relational pay within the City of Ramsey orghniZatior~; and: WHEREAS, the proPOSed payscale adjustment is within the collective $7500 budgeted for this purpose in the 2005 budget. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ~SOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, S~ATEiOF MINNESOTA, Con firms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: · Authorize the reclassification 0ftheFire Inspector position to Fire Marshal. · Authorize the pay scale for the foil°wing Position: POSITION CU~N/RANGE]: PROPOSED RANGE OF F[R~E !NSPI~C, TOR OF FIRE MARSHAL Fire Marshal $21.91 - $27.38 per hOur $23.46 - $30.50 per hour The motion for the adoption of~ the foregoing,resolution was duly seconded by Council Member, , and upon vote~being tak6n thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution waS declared dulY passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 22''a day of February, 20051
