Councilmember introduced the follOwing resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> REsoL~ION #05-02- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF ADDITIONAL COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GR~NT (CDBG) FUNDS FOR REDEVELOPMENT OF <br />BLIGHTED INDUSTRIAL sITES. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City oflRamsey ireceiVed notice from Anoka County regarding the <br />availability of recaptured CommUnity DevelOpment Block Grant (CDBG) funds from 1998-2004 <br />for qualifying, on-going projects; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on January 61,2005, Ci,ty Staff submitted a written ·request to Anoka County <br />requesting consideration for ad~tional funding necessary to continue Ramsey's efforts to <br />redevelop blighted industrial sites;and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on February 8, 2005,!the City received notice from Anoka County that <br />Ramsey was selected to receive $247,908.81 in CDBG funds for industrial redevelopment <br />efforts, specifically the Debee pa~-Cel at 7060-143rd Avenue N.W. and the St. Paul Terminals <br />parcel at 14050 Basalt St, N.W. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the City of Ramsey hereby accepts the CDBG award from Anoka County in ~he amount <br /> of 247,908.8 l, resulting from recaptured rfUnds fi.om the years 1998-2004. <br />2. That the Mayor and the City Administrator 'are herein authorized to enter into an agreement <br /> with Anoka County for the additional cDBG funds. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />~, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 22nd day of February, 2005. <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
