Case #9: Consider Access Modifications to CR 116 and Elimination of Argon Street <br /> Gate <br /> <br />Moved up in the agenda as Case A. <br /> <br />Case #10: Consider Entering into an Agreement with Sprint Spectrum LP for the <br /> Placement of TelecommuniCatiOns Equipment on Water Tower No. 1 <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich indicate~ the CitY has been approached by Sprint Spectrum LP for the <br />right to install telecommunications equipment On and within Water Tower No. 1. Plans for the <br />installation of the equipment have been reviewed and recommended for approval by Kolhner <br />Consultants, a firm retained by the City for thisipurpose. Included in the Council's packet is an <br />agreement between the City and Sprint that Outlines the terms for use of the tower. Sprint will <br />pay the City $24,000 annually for the Use of the toWer. <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director .Olson eXplained staff's primary concern was access because <br />Sprint will need access during times that s!aff may or may not be available. It was worked out <br />that Sprint can get access to the .water tower as long as they make contact with staff within 48 <br />hours. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich recommended the motion be contingent upon final approval as <br />determined by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook asked if this poses any security risks with letting another entity into the <br />City's water tower. <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson responded in the negative. He explained staff will be <br />letting them in and will be locking it uP when they are finished. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook,i seconde41 bY Councilmember Olson, to enter into a contract <br />with Sprint for the use of the Water tower contingent upon the plans being signed by the <br />registered professional engineer who had prepared them and upon payment of the costs <br />associated with the review of the Plans byKollmer Associates, contingent upon final approval as <br />determined by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Pro Tern Elvig, Councilmembers Cook, Olson, Jeffrey, <br />Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None~ Absent: Mayor Gamec. <br /> <br />Case #11: Consider Adoption. of Joint powers Agreement with Anoka County for <br /> Regional Roadway ImProVements Associated with Ramsey Town Center <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director :Olson reviewed that on January 4, 2005, the City Council <br />considered the .joint powers agreement With the Anoka CountY Highway Department and passed <br />it with the following three contingencies: ~ <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />Council/February 8, 2005 <br /> page 27 of 30 <br /> <br /> <br />
