Norman, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />In 2001, most City Councilmembers, staff, and community representatives attended a <br />tour of mixed use, transit oriented development in Chicago. Everyone in attendance <br />agreed that much was deemed' from the trip. <br /> <br />Recently, there have been discussions of the possibility of touring other sites in other <br />areas of the country; most notable are projects in the Phoenix, Arizona area, as well as in <br />the Los Angeles, California: area.
