Staff would then cOnt~ue negotiations with this candid~tte and bring thc hiring back <br />£or ratification at thc February 8,'2005 me6t!ng.~ This was the recommendation of the Personnel <br />Committee. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember J¢ffery, secOnded by Councilmember Cook to ratify the <br />recommendation of the Personnel Committee in: Case 1 through 3 and adopt Resolution #05-01- <br />026 ending the probationary period for full-time Public Works Maintenance Worker, AndY <br />Eccleston, January 20, 2005; and ResolutiOn #05-01-027 approving the 2005 City Contribution <br />toward the cost of Health Insurani:e BenefitSl for members of AFSCME bargaining unit and all <br />benefit eligible non-uniOn employees apprOveing a contingency transfer of $18,000.00 to cover <br />the cost of this benefit; and autlmrizing the hiring of an Assistant Finance Officer at a starting- <br />hourly wage not to exceed $32.3!-$33.71 '-plus benefits and three weeks of vacation annually, <br />contingent on successful completion:. of background checks, employment physical; and <br />drug/alcohol screen. Voting No: NOne, ~ <br /> <br /> 3) Performance Review for :CitY Administrator <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec indicated the City CoUncil, las ~a Whole, met during the Personnel Committee to <br />discuss the performance review fo~ City Administrator Norman. Due to the good report on City <br />Administrator Norman, the CounCil recommended during the Personnel Committee meeting an <br />increase of $100 per month to CityAdministrator Norman's retirement account. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to ratify the. recommendation of <br />the Personnel Committee and authorize a $100per month increase to the retirement fund of City <br />Administrator Norman. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
