2001 Comprehensive Plan
Amended February 26, 2002

Public Services and Facilities
The City should study the need for the expansion of City facilities to accommodate a
growing population and growing service needs. These expansions studies should include
police, fire, public works and City Hall facilities.

me

Central Rural Reserve--Feasibility Study
The City has identified an area adjacent to the future metropolitan urban services area that
could potentially accommodate a higher density of residential development if served by
urban sewer and water (see land use chapter.) Within two years, the City will submit a
Comprehensive Plan amendment for that area. In the interim, the area will be retained as
"rural transition" with ordinances requiring 4 in 40 density and require that a subdivider
file a sketch plan with the preliminary plat illustrating the reasonable resubdivision of the
plat to urban densities.

2001 Ramsey Comprehensive Plan
Amended February 26, 2002

Page XVI-8
