2) Councilmember Wards <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman explained that the City cannot assign wards until after April, but they <br />could begin defining boundaries for the wards. He presented a possibility that would place each <br />Councilmember in a separate ward. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson inquired if staff had seen any of the government's three proposals. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied that he would research that information. He stated that each <br />Councilmember could meet with the head of elections to redesign the wards for consideration. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if Mr. Norman knew what the critical dates were for <br />election. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied that he would get that information to the Council. <br /> <br />3) Town Center Task Force <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman presented a mission statement for the Town Center Task Force for <br />the Council to review. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen verified that they were not taking any action by handing out the <br />mission statement. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied that it was only being presented for Council review. <br /> <br />4) 2001 Year in Review/2002 Objectives & Work Plan <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman presented a draft of the 2001 Year in Review/2002 Objectives & <br />Work Plan for Council review. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman stated that he would like to discuss contract rezoning in the near <br />future. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that he will assign the issue to Community Development. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />The work session of the City Council adjourned at 9:12 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />City Council/February 19, 2002 <br /> Page 5 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
