Absent: Commissioner Johnson. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 9:26 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at 9:26 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Levine, to recommend that City Council <br />adopt findings of fact favorable to Troy and Jennifer Stenerson’s request for a conditional use <br />permit to exceed accessory building size requirements on the property at 9501 Inverness Lane <br />NW. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Levine, Brauer, Shepherd, Van <br />Scoy, and Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Johnson. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Levine, to recommend that City Council <br />approve Troy and Jennifer Stenerson’s request to exceed accessory building size restrictions <br />based on the findings of fact, and adopt a resolution declaring terms of same. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Levine, Brauer, Shepherd, Van <br />Scoy, and Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Johnson. <br /> <br /> <br />Further discussion:Commissioner Van Scoy inquired what will be done with this table of <br />information prepared by staff. Chairperson Nixt noted it appears that a 400 to 500 foot increase <br />in most cases would eliminate the need for a conditional use permit. Associate Planner Dalnes <br />questioned if the intent is to eliminate the need for conditional use permits for this purpose or to <br />limit the accessory space. Chairperson Nixt replied the intent is to include in the City Code the <br />square footage that should accommodate almost all reasonable uses, with unique circumstances <br />dealt with through conditional use permits reviewed under established creiteria.
