Chairperson Nixt closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at 8:37 p.m. in <br />order to call the public hearing to order. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt called the public hearing to order at 8:37 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik stated that the Planning Commission should review the <br />proposal and either recommend that the property remain zoned for business uses or recommend <br />that the property be rezoned to R-3 Urban Residential. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br /> <br />Ms. Immerheiser restated that she was not opposed to development on the property. She <br />commented that it is not realistic to expect it to be empty forever. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Reeve, to close the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Reeve, Brauer, Sweet, and <br />Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Johnson and Kociscak. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 8:38 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at 8:38 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Reeve, to recommend that the City <br />Council adopt Findings of Fact with variables favorable to the applicant relating to a request to <br />rd <br />rezone the southwest quadrant of T.H. #47 and 153 Avenue N.W. from B-1 Business to R-3 <br />Urban Residential. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Reeve, Sweet, and Watson. <br />Voting No: Commissioner Brauer. Absent: Commissioners Johnson and Kociscak. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Reeve, to recommend that City Council <br />rd <br />approve the request to rezone the southwest quadrant of T.H. #47 and 153 Avenue N.W. from <br />B-1 Business to R-3 Urban Residential. <br /> <br />Motion Carried.
