Mr. Wilson has been
approached by a r.v. dealer that would like to lease the northwest corner of his site for the storage
of up to 40 recreational travel trailers until June 1, 2002. She explained that Mr. Wilson’s
property is approximately 2.3 acres in size and is zoned B-3 Highway Business. Because of the
limited duration of the outdoor storage use, Mr. Wilson is not proposing to pave or screen the
outdoor storage area. Community Development Director Frolik noted that Mr. Wilson has made
a good faith effort to bring his property into compliance with City Code with respect to confining
his sales operation to the paved portions of his site. Also, last winter there were several violations
of storing recreational travel trailers for r.v. dealers without the proper temporary permits from
the City. These violations require Staff time to correct. Staff recommends approval of Mr.
Wilson’s request in order to reinforce efforts to work within the regulations of City Code.

Citizen Input

There was none.

Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Sweet to close the public hearing.

Motion Carried.
