To vote against a question, fill in the oval next to the word "NO" for that question. <br />RAMSEY CITY QUESTIONS <br />QUESTION NO. 1 <br />ADVISORY QUESTION NO. 1 <br />Shall the Home Rule Charter of the City of <br />Ramsey be amended to require that four <br />Council Members be elected from wards and <br />two elected at large? <br />Q YES <br />Q NO <br />QUESTION NO. 2 <br />Shall the Home Rule Charter of the City of <br />Ramsey be amended to require a primary <br />election for the selection of two nominees for <br />each elective office at the regular municipal <br />election, unless two nominees or fewer file for <br />each elective office? <br />Q YES <br />Q NO <br />By vote of the electorate in 1996, the Mayor's <br />term was increased from two years to four <br />years. Pursuant to an advisory question in <br />2000, the electorate recommended that a <br />majority of the City Council be elected every <br />two years. Under State law, Council Member <br />terms can only be four years; however, the <br />Mayor's term can be either two years or four <br />years.
