Chairperson Nixt noted that wliiIe this is !not a Public hearing, he would take brief comments <br />from the audience. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brauer reiterated that thel extension of the MUSA line has to happen first; <br />therefore people have another chance to Speak to ihe City Council about extension of the MUSA <br />and this development. : <br /> <br />Del Fredricks, 7550 15gth stated that concerning MUSA, if it were extended, he asked if <br />everyone affected would get noti¢e of the .dha:ng¢.! He indicated that when Staff followed the 300 <br />foot rule for this development, he did not receiVe a notice. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Trudge0n advised that there will be several notices going out <br />about the MUSA proposal. He stated the first meeting will be in January for nearby homes, and a <br />larger area notice on the Comprehensive Plan Process will be held in February, with notices sent <br />to all individual homes. He indicated the tentative date for the Comprehensive Plan meeting is <br />February 24th. i <br /> <br />Bud Augst, 15700 Traprock, asked if the City COUncil would consider not opening up Traprock. <br />He stated this development propOSal: alre. ady has three entrances onto Variolite, and he is <br />wondering if Traprock could remain a cul,de,sac.. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt indicated the City Council and~Planning Commission just held a joint meeting, <br />and one thing they talked about was a road plan: to meet the needs of the city for the next ten to <br />fifteen years. He stated he believes this development would be overlayed in that review. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Developme~ ~nt Director Fr0lik noted that City Code requires connectivity <br />between neighborhoods,i and the SUpporting docUments -for Traprock Commons says the road will <br />be extended to the north. <br /> <br />Community Development DirectOr Tmdgeon added there will be a traffic generation study <br />completed before the parcel is Platted so the 'neighborhood will know where the traffic is <br />expected to go. <br /> <br />Mr. Augst stated that right now there are only a handful of residents on Traprock by the Gun <br />Club, and this development.is prOPosing 165 new homes that will-drive by them. He indicated <br />he is very concerned about traffic. <br /> <br />Mel Stienke, Traprock, indicated he is Concerned about all the building being done in Ramsey <br />and the size of developments that are being allowed. He stated if you look at the services <br />Ramsey has, such as limited schoOls, there needs to be a plan to improve the services before the <br />City allows ail these developers to come into the city. He indicated Ramsey has one elementary <br />school, and one church.
