City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br /> The design for the Municipal Center project is!nearing completion, with the production o£ <br />construction documents occurring by'~he endo~ MUrala, 2005. The project will then be ready for the <br />bidding process beginning in early April 2005. !The COmponents to be included in the complete bid <br />package are as follows: site, architeefgral~ mechanical, electrical, security, and technology. Plans and <br />specifications have been prepared by BKV GroUP; In6~ 3D/I will manage the bid process for the site, <br />architectural, mechanical, electrical, '.ar3d security.. L01GIS will provide plans and specifications and <br />manage the bidding for the technologY3 comPoffent. The bidding period is scheduled to begin on April <br />8th, 2005 with the bid date established as May ~th, 20015. Bid opening is scheduled for May 5th, 2005 at <br />2:00 p.m. at Fire Station No. 1 for theBKV/3D/IbidiPackage. The technology package will be bid <br />during the same period by the LOGIS °rganizationwi;~h the bid opening occurring on May 5t~, 2005 at <br />2:00 p.m. at Fire Station No. 1. ' <br /> <br /> The Municipal Center project:~is a 68,000 squgi;e foot city hall and police facility; the cost <br />estimate for the project based upon t~a Design DeVe!gpment phase is $16,668,159. Once the 95% <br />construction documents are reviewedi ihe budggt wiilibe revised as needed. Once bids are received, <br />the project cost wilt be presented to C:ounCil, at!Whic~ time, the contracts could be authorized to <br />proceed with the construction.
