Councilmember introduced the follOWing resolution and moved for its adoption: · ~ RESOLUTION #05-03 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BIDDING FOR THE CITY OF RAMSEY MUNICIPAL : CENTi~R PIioJECT WHEREAS, the City Council has established the need for a new Municipal Center to serve the community and provide Office space for'dity staff, police operations, and community meeting space; and WHEREAS, the design for the new Mtmic!pal Center is nearing completion and the construction document phase will ,be comple ed by'the end of March 2005; and ' WHEREAS, based upon tl~e design development phase, the estimated project cost is $16,668,159; and WHEREAS, the project cost wilI be !updated following the completion of the 95% construction document review; anti th th WHEREAS, the proposed;bid Period will,De April 8 , 2005 - May 5 , 2005 with bid opening occurring at 2:00 p.m. onthe bid dateofMay 5th, 2005 at Fire Station 1, 15050 Armstrong Blvd NW in Ramsey, MN;and WHERES, the contracts for all site, architectural, mechanical, electrical, security, and technology construction and for thi issuaneei Of Le~.se Revenue Bonds to fund the project will be presented to Council at their regul~r meeting of May 24th for authorization. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED iBY Tile CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, i~TATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of theI City of Rams ~e.y authorizes proceeding with the bidding process for the City of RantSey MuniCipal 12enter project.
