SCHEDULING <br />As with cost estimating, we develop a schedule <br />at the beginning of every project and continue to <br />refine the schedule throughout the preconstruction <br />period as more definition/details become available. <br />We look at all construction activities with a focus on <br />the critical path items that are the most constrained <br />(least flexible) over time to determine the required <br />overall critical path for the project. There are many <br />reasons an item may be constrained by schedule, <br />such as long -order lead time, site conditions, and <br />weather -dependent installation conditions. We create <br />highly detailed schedules with many line items in <br />order to be able to consider all possible critical path <br />approaches and ultimately track the project correctly. <br />During the preconstruction period we continue to <br />add more detailed line items to the schedule so <br />that the schedule is fully developed by the start of <br />construction. <br />2019 <br />10.
